New Seven Wonders will be chosen from a contest of 27 finalists in which the The Iguazu Falls participate. Vote is through internet and the results will be known in 2011.
The Iguazu Falls were chosen in mid July, along with other 26 sites of the world, all of them as finalists to become The Seven Wonders of the World.
The water fall located north of the Misiones Province in Argentina will take part in the final step of a competition organized by the Swiss foundation New Seven Wonders; which will determine in 2011 the new and final list of the natural resources through an Internet ballot.
Bernard Weber, president of the foundation, said "we are all together discovering the incredible beauty and diversity of our planet. From the water falls to the fiords, from the tropical forests to the mountain peaks, from the sweet water lakes to the volcanoes."
The campaign to select the Seven Wonders of the World started worldwide in 2007, with a register of 440 places proposed in 220 countries.

The World Dance of Tango Festival
It starts in Buenos Aires on August 14th. to August the 31st. for tango dancers from around the world.
The event will reward the best dancers in the categories "Tango Salon", and "Tango Escenario". Tango Salon favors the dance as a social practice with porteño roots, and Tango Escenario aims to enrich the dance choreography from a concept linked with the show.
